Something that your satnav won’t tell you is that there is pretty but difficult to drive over pack bridge that is best to be avoided. It’s called Stainforth bridge and is on Dog Hill Brow. Do not go this way. Whilst worth seeing on foot, if your map tries to send you this way we recommend you choose an alternative route as it is exceptionally narrow and impassable in larger vehicles.
The best road to travel in on once you are in the area will be called Stainforth Lane. If arriving from Settle direction this will be via Stackhouse on the map, and on the Little Stainforth side of the river if travelling from the top. -
If you grab a brew or a bite to eat at The Knights Table in Little Stainforth you can use the lower car park and will be parked close to the top of the campsite where we are based. We recommend this as they really do put on an amazing spread and have some of the best views in Yorkshire!
Alternatively, there is a car park a short scenic walk away in Stainforth. This is @ Main Rd, Stainforth, Settle BD24 9PQ. You'll need to allow 15/20 minutes on your journey to account for this scenic stroll. Have a look at the route on maps before hand incase you don’t have signal.

You’ll find us close to the most scenic riverside spot in the quaint village of Little Stainforth.
We are based at the bottom of the Knights Stainforth Hall Camping & Caravan Park, Little Stainforth, Settle, Yorkshire, BD24 0DN.
If arriving from the top of the hill in Little Stainforth you'll first come to and pass through the main entrance to the campsite (just down from the Knights Table restaurant) and marked by raising bollards/gates with a reception building on the left.Follow the road down straight through the campsite on foot until you reach a corner with an entrance to the residential part of the site on your right.
Ignore this, rounding the corner and continuing down the hill as if heading towards the woodland in front - sign posted as Foss Woods. Keeping to the road that rounds the corner by Foss Woods. Continue until you come to an open field. You're going the right way if you see that the statics are over the other side of the hedge on your right.
We're a stones throw from the banks of River Ribble. If you get lost or are coming from Stainforth village - there is a footpath that traces the bank of the river. You'll pass Stainforth Force (a big waterfall). Follow the public footpath along the river side until you come to an open field where you should see the sauna and my car.
